General Sir Nick Parker has moved the argument on. This is no longer a loose complaint about process. It is a defined position: no reinvestigations without new evidence, proper accountability.
The Polticians prior to & throughout Op Banner and many other operations at the highest levels "sign off" overt & covert continuous tasks whilst enjoying their 3rd coffee.
Excellent position statement from General Sir Nick Parker who's opinion should be recognised. It's so contradictory that our current PM who served as DPP and defended the rule of Law when it suited his political objectives in terms of 'civil rights' should have no interest in defending those same rights of former serving soldiers! Disgraceful.
This is all about Sinn Féin/IRA trying to change the narrative in a sick attempt to justify their campaign of sectarian slaughter, mainly of civilians for an ideological united Ireland against the democratic wishes of the majority of the people of Northern Ireland. The Troubles were just one of numerous attempts that began in the early 1920s and continued right up until the early 1960s. The earlier attempts were all defeated by the B-Specials, the RUC, and the lack of support from the Catholic people. In the late 1960s when the rest of Western Europe was rioting over civil rights the IRA jumped on the bandwagon and rioting spread into Belfast, where sectarian separation was already embedded the inevitable riots broke out between them both, and whole communities were burnt out of their own homes this along with constant rioting in Londonderry the Army were brought in to aid the exhausted RUC. Initially, the army was welcomed by the Catholic community as their saviour but IRA actions in attacking the army using planned riots as cover and some of these led to some of the incidents that veterans are now being prosecuted for. The wish history to be rewritten totally whitewashing the IRA and presenting them as the saviour of the poor Catholics against the Army the RUC, the UDR and protestant paramilitaries and that they had no choice but to use violence. They're desperate to legitimise their false claims of State Collusion to that aim. The nation as a whole must stand with its Operation Banner Veterans and against this government of which a majority are ideologically aligned with the Irish republicans and will be happy to force it through to please their Marxist brothers

Bring them to account??

Thank you Sir……another poke in the eye for the disreputable, conniving Starmer. Loving it!
