I commend Brigadier Ed Butler on his remarks as to what is happening at the moment, in relation to operations carried out by the Regiment in Northern Ireland and beyond! His statement identifies the pitfalls and problems that both Hereford face and indeed the Army in general with regard to future recruitment, for fear of "law reprisal" long after operational deployment! This labour government isn't registering what concerned people are telling them. If they think that; "The Boys From Hereford" will lie down and roll over. This government needs to think seriously think again! You are not supporting SF veterans who are the "Forward Sharp Teeth" of the British Armed Forces. They go where others fear to go! They do what others cannot do! They act decisively! They prevent mayhem, death, disorder and destruction! They calm the troubled waters and protect our beloved homeland. This is what they do! To lose that fighting capability or weaken it, would greatly undermine the advantage for our military. A government cannot afford to be weak or indecisive with it's teeth arm Special Forces! So listen to the good, sensible advice from those who know! Those have shown loyalty and respect! Those who have fought and those dear warriors; men and women who sacrificed themselves on the field of battle. Prime Minister Burnham take note!
