There is a moral obligation of Associations and RBL etc to 'Duty of Care'. Either they 'care' or they 'don't care' there is no middle ground just a simple binary choice.
If as some are currently demonstrating that they 'don't care' the officers should resign or be voted out with immediate effect and allow new blood to pick up the fallen or discarded baton on behalf of their veteran membership and serving membership.
Despite the best efforts of many, including the British Armed Forces Federation, UK veterans have never yet been represented by an independent body. Perhaps the time has come to finally make a concerted effort for self determination and expression in order to make sure that two million voices are heard?
Some Military Associations are heavily engaged in fighting and defending the rights of their veterans. With a strong sense of duty and commitment that the current Labour Government is not portraying! In fact, quite the opposite! Starmer's Government is using "deflection techniques," to waiver responsibilities in protecting veteran's rights. Introducing "Human Rights," and the "Lawyer Fraternity" into the Northern Ireland equation, is a "Red Light" that pins veterans down. But the "Green Light" that favours terrorists is an absolute disgrace and verges on political conspiracy and treachery! It's important to mention The Royal British Legion, supposedly a "leading light" in support of veterans! I say to you; "From a veteran's point of view", this is not a political question❓ It concerns the protection of the rights of men and women who've stepped up for the love of their country, and fought against those in opposition to all that is right and good! So, I challenge YOU the RBL and all those Associations that are.doing nothing, to show some "moral fibre" and DO what needs to be DONE! SUPPORT OUR VETERANS!
