A delegation of paras met officials in Downing Street just days after the Government voted to carry its Troubles legislation into the next parliamentary session.
Well fellow vets and our supporters. My anger has subsided! I can assure all of us that those "Petty Woke Traitors" in Downing Street and beyond have selective hearing! They have no apparent appetite, to listen with intent. And to act up on the recommendations and concerns that our Honourable Spokespersons detail them with! This situation is a parody of "disbelief!" Operation Banner was a "Master Class" in dealing with Homeland Terrorism. British Forces dealt with it in a professional and ethical way, according to the operational conditions they worked under; against a determined enemy! Now, the Veterans who put their hearts, souls and sacrifices into achieving their aims, are suffering the indignity of being accused of wrongdoings in an urban/rural "War Zone!" Britain's policy of "Not bargaining with Terrorists" seems to have been lost somewhere along the way? We now see the families of terrorists attempting to claim compensation by undermining the events that took place on operations where "there loved ones" were justly killed, while attempting to murder Military personnel, members of the Police Force and members of the Civilian population! What does that tell us about the Justice System, as it stands today? Decades after events were investigated and deemed safe and closed at the time! This is no time to falter, indeed, we pile the pressure on this "Malevolent Government!" To start behaving like a body of professional politicians, in supporting the Army, Veterans and the Royal Ulster Constabulary that protect Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the continuing threat of Anarchy and Terrorism!
Eric Wilson. We should adopt the french ideology......The french always stand by Thier military. In french democracy the military accept the risk to Thier lives, in exchange the state has a moral obligation to protect in the event of accusations in relation to the performance of Thier duties, the moral contract is at the heart of military loyalty and discipline. I am sick of this quisling starmer and his cronies,Hermer Benn, carns (who should know better) has by the sheer nature of the legacy act broken the moral code of the British military, and should kill this insidious act, and replace it with a french style contract.....unless they want history to remember as the quisling/ traitors who betrayed our country . So I say to starmer for once in your life( GROW A BACKBONE)
"Politically, the path ahead remains uncertain. Young pointed to the possibility of changes within government in the coming months, suggesting that leadership shifts—whether at Prime Ministerial or departmental level—could yet alter the direction of policy." Too much to wish for that those to face the firing squad are Benn, Carns and Sandher-Jones? Go on Starmer, save your skin yet again; get shot of those three. It was always their fault, you're not to blame!
Reply to BenN. Nice sentiment my friend, but if we are not carefull we will all be joining the french foreign legion, shipping off to Algeria, and singing ' la marsellaise.......( Actually), I do know 5 quislings, starmer,Benn,Powell, hermer, carns, who I would like to put on a small boat and send them across the channel with the words 'bon voyage', ringing in Thier ears.STILL,WHO DARES WINS.
I listened to BBC Radio 4's flagship current affairs progamme on Friday evening 1 May. Hilary Benn, the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, was on the panel. NOT ONE question or comment was asked or made about the Troubles Bill. That means one of two things; either no question was submitted for selection OR, if it was, it was rejected by the BBC. Draw your own conclusions.

PR stunt as ministers don’t care and will pass bill no matter what the majority of people say.
