The Government will make it easier for veterans to endure another investigation. It has not established the protection needed to prevent an unjustified investigation in the first place.

If the government was sincere in its aim to change their ( the judiciary and the legislation are at their disposal) approach to historic and repeated trials of veterans then all I can say is that there is little evidence of that alleged sincerity.
This Troubles Bill, is still very troubling to us veterans, the fact that so called "Cases* from decades ago can be re-ignited! It's obvious that Lawfare is calling the shots, and not the so called "government of the day!" What the hell are these political arseholes doing, and who's side are they on?? This political fracas, is a complete "stitch up" of the brave veterans who served with loyalty,, courage, honour, distinction, and without prejudice , and we're prepared to sacrifice themselves for the safety and security of Northern Ireland, the British Mainland and all citizens concerned.Their job was crucial to this and it was carried out professionally in an understated manner to meet terrorism and defeat it!
