I must confess reading this blog only emphasises the State’s reopening of cases brought by civilians who have a grievance for the British Armed Forces. Why do we not hear of those cases that ought be brought by the families of those soldiers killed by the para militaries, including by the representatives of the Crown, over their lost ones? This is supposed to be an even-handed change to the rules, but it appears definitely just one-sided.
We need to get the balance in place pretty pronto!
